Question 20B 3Rotor Motor..

If anyone has any info on this motor from personal experience I'd like to hear it.. from upkeep to running conditions... I'm trying to make sure this is what I want to do before I got and dump 20 - 25k into a car to find out the 20B's dies 1 outta 3 times or is known to have some issues... anything would be much appreciated - Thanx

I've actually talked to few 20B FD owners, and I was going to do the 20B conversion on my car too.

I can tell myself that I've done some research on that. regarding to the issue you asked, I have to say it depends. I've heard good things about 20B, and also bad things, it's all depending on HOW you do it.

I wanna help you out, or at least offer the info I've gotten to you, but your question has to be more specific.

btw, there are quite a few 20B RX7 owners around here.

Much like anything else, it's all in how you build it. The NA 20B has performed quite well in endurance racing over the past decade when run NA with a Motec and tuned and driven by professionals. I would imagine that the reliability would decrease if you try stuffing 50psi boost into the engine while running it on a re-wired Honda ECU which was tuned by your little brother and driven by the teenager who mows your lawn.

There's a 20B forum section - you might want to go check in there.
