Can anyone tell me if the oil cooler on the GSLSE is the same on the 2nd gens? I think i cracked mine when upgrading the oil lines.
Should I chance putting a used one on?


Also has anyone tried to mount 8" speakers in the rear where the 6.5 are now? Just thought it would save space.

Who sells the rear storage panels for the 1st gen? Mine are cracked at the hinge. Might just put in rear seats instead.

There are no the same. The inlet and outlets on the GSL SE and all pre-86 rotaries are on the back facing the engine. The 2nd gens are on the side and the bottom if not mistaken.

On the oil cooler, don't feel bad if it cracked, I can't tell you how many of these I replaced under warranty working at the dealer! The best fix and the cheapest in the long run is to weld thicker fittings onto the cooler. We use 2 different types at the shop, for the stock lines we have ones with the stock(M16x1.50) thread, for the guys using braided lines we tap the ends for 3/8 pipe thread. That way you can go anywhere and get the fittings. It just happens that the M16x1.50 has the same threads per inch as the pipe thread, only it is straight thread. You can "chase" the threads in the front cover also. If done then you don't need special metric adapters. Just be careful to clean out the chips the tap makes. For the rear of the engine(M18x1.50) we use a 3/8 pipe fitting with a statoseal(brand name,it's a crush washer w/ an o ring, available at most industrial hose supply), locktite the fitting also and install into the very clean threaded holes with not mods necessary. It fits alittle loose at first, but we have never had one "pull out" in the 7 years we have used this method. Rob
