15volts at idle

I'm babysitting FDokinawa's monster for him until he gets back I have run into several problems. The fan relays took a crap a couple weeks and now I am getting some weird voltage readings on the PFC. Until I locate some more relays I have to inplug the damn battery everytime I park the car for extended periods. When I first start the monster it will read 15volts at idle until the car warms up. Before starting I will get a normal 12~12.3volts and it usually drops down to 14.2~14.4volts after cruising for a while. I think this a alternator voltage regulator failure. What do you guys think?
