Why are you saying that it is a turbo motor?

It was in a RX4 years ago when first built running turbo etc, obviously how it’s sitting and setup now.

Yeah I’ve seen many over the years normal N/A ones which silicone hose slip over and clamp, even turbo ones which have The V-band. Early mfr with the thread for bolt up but nothing like in the image with the 4 stud thread(bottom thread missing ).

a rear mount turbo maybe

you should probably open it up first to see if it’s salvageable … if they need to be replaced then it won’t matter.

Just to clear a few things up, it had full turbo manifold ITB’s before , now it has been changed to what is in the image. Reports where it was running fine before it was parked , fills good turning by hand but that doesn’t mean a lot .

either that engine needs to be disassembled and gone through, or you need to change your user name

It's a Turbo II engine base, you can tell because the intermediate housing is set up for fuel injectors and has an air injection port under the intake ports, and the front housing has an oil feed blocked off.

If it was ever actually run as a turbocharged engine (and not just "it's a turbo engine", which it technically is since it is a Turbo II engine) then it was not run that way in that chassis, there is no provision on the engine for a turbo oil return.

Cheers for the info mate, thought similar with the injector block offs etc, was turbo in previous setup and the recent owner had it setup in Datsun Ute as shown in pick. You can also see it was design for turbo as very late port timing.👍

I didn’t post it since Mr. Peepers already told you they were homemade in a previous post.
