13B Rotary Rebuild?

Well, i have a friend who just bought an immaculate 1984 RX-7, GSL-SE (i believe)... the model with the fuel injected 13b in it..... well the only problem is that the engine has one blown apex seal we believe (it still runs, sorta). but we are going to tear it out this week and rebuild it...

our problem with that, is neither of us know where to go to buy a gasket set, and apex seals at a low cost (he doesnt have a ton to spend) so im looking for those.

also, any pointers on the rebuild and such for a newbie would be great! (we have engine experience, just not on the rx7, yet).

Atkins Rotary is the only other place I know of to get rebuild parts from. There's got to be others. Atkins sells on Ebay a lot too.

A search using "rebuild advice" should get you some good tips.

The biggest thing I can think of is having a good reference to use. A factory service manual would be great. This site has wiring diagrams for download but I don't know where to get the rest. If nothing else, a haynes/chiltons would probably work. Oh yeah, that video, everyone speaks highly of it's value too.

Hope some of that helps.
