more times than often my headlights will not go down when you urn them off. I belive it is a water problem, when it rains it dose it more often.

 

Just bust out your meter, remove the plug at the left or right light assy, and see if you get 12v at the appropriate wire at the appropriate time. Its most likely your switch assy thats bad.

That schematic is for a 86-88.
