I'm running a 12A transmission w/ a 13B 6port engine. I was wondering if a gslse transmission would be better than my 12A trans ! How much could i expect to pay for a transmission like this ?

 

I am running the same setup.

I have had much better results with the GSL-SE transmission.

12A tranny sheared output shaft
'86 tranny dead synchros
GSL-SE stuck in gear (this was because of worn shift forks!) Just rebuild it and it will be tons of fun!!!

I've heard you have had alot of good progress with your car. It must be nice to have a pioneer like Judge Ito close by for technical support ! What year clutch kit are you using with your 6 port and gsl-se transmission ?

 

The -SE trans has a taller (more useless) 5th gear.

Otherwise the trannies are identical internally. No advantage.

 

its not worth the hassle to swap,cause the change is so miniscule you wont even notice the change.
