13B differences
Hey I just got an older 13B motor that is in pieces given to me. All i got was the housings, rotors, irons, counterweight and e-shaft. I am assuming its a older NA 13B motor. I was wondering if the 13B housings are the same as the 93-95 13B so if i need them later on down the road i can use them??
Im not very familiar with the differences with ports, irons, housings, rotors, ect.. over the various years. I do know the oil fill tube is build in to one of the irons. Any way of figuring out what this came out of or what year it is??

1st gen irons don't have the oring cut into them it's in the housings. Na housings have diffusers in the exhaust sleeve and don't have a hole for coolant above the exhaust port, also the front and rear irons will have 2 ports each for the na. The e shaft on models prior to 86 also has no provision in the from of the shaft for the thermo pellot.

You could use the e-shaft - lack of thermo pellet a good thing for race motors (from what i have read) - one less thing to worry about.
