What's goin on, so basically I have all new belts. Over time the idler pulley belt gets loose and I have to tighten it on the tensioner more and more everytime it looses. Even the alternator one does. Not sure what's wrong I have a brand new idler pulley.

 

Welcome. What generation/year car are we talking about here? As you probably know, the belts naturally wear and stretch with time. People also often over-tension the belts, which leads to premature wear. Are the bearings good on all your pulleys (no play)? If so, my guess is you're over-tensioning the belt.

 

Thank you, it's a 1990 vert. I'm guessing I overtighnted them
