Cool 12a Help w/ apex seal...

I have a 12a that I am trying to bring back to running order. I was trying to loosen up a carbon deposit when I noticed that one of the apex seals(I think that is what it's called) was just alying in the bottom of the chamber, on the exhaust side. I'm pretty sure it was the guy that tried to fix it before I got to it that reamed on it with a 4 ft breaker bar, but I can't say that it wasn't my fiddling that broke it loose.

Any way, is there any way to get that seal back in place, or am I F##ked? I really don't want to rip the engine apart, but I can if there is no other options.

Next, Is there a breakdown of how to disassemble the 12a? Parts diagram or something available online?

I will be searching the forums after posting this, so I may find my answer anyway.

Thanks guys.

Edit* After Talking to the previous owners, it was not their fault. I am to blame for F##king up the seals.

Will this be enough for reinstalling the apex seal, if it is ok?

that's a complete kit of new seals too, if the housing isnt damaged then that should be fine I guess, i've never delt with rebuilds maybe you'd be better off asking in the 1st gen section :/
