**noob** need help with starting my fc

i just recently bought an fc (86 base model i think. has no power options or sunroof) and i need a little help on this one...
here it goes:

the good:
car runs fine
there is no hesitation of any kind throughout the powerband
it has good batteries
good starter
new spark plugs and wires.
engine was rebuilt
no smoke
no oil leaks
apex seals and springs were replaced during the rebuild.

the bad:
the car would start on cold start but barely, you would have to start it a few times to get it started.
if you stall the car or shut it off after everything is right on operating temperature the car would not start and you would have to wait a few minutes for it to cool down a bit and try to start it again. and sure enough after a few tries the car will start right back after the initial cool down.

basically at cold start after a few cranks the car will start. at hot start the car wont start you would have to let the engine cool down.

i was told by the previous owner that after rebuilding the engine he drove it for about a year and then it started to have the above mentioned problem because he never replaced injectors. he asked a rotary mechanic about it and he said: "the secondary fuel injectors are sticking so all they do is stay open and dump fuel in the chambers"

i would like to believe that the problem would be as simple as that.
i haven't tried anything yet and don't want to attempt anything not unless i know for sure what the problem is.

if you guys have encountered this problem: I NEED HELP!
thanks!

One should always have the injectors redone during a rebuild, it's cheap insurance. symptoms you posted are classic hot problems due to sticking injectors. Send them out to RC Engineering or Cruz Perfomance. If you have a diesel shop local, they may clean and calibrate injectors too.
