Raising the redline?

Does anbody know what mods can be done to reliably raise the redline on a 12a (84 GSL)? It's currently stock, and I'm constantly revving past 7000rpm, just coz I love to hear it growl... Even If I could just sqeeze out 8000-8500 without worrying about blowing my seals, I'd be happy. Where should I start?

Also, can the shift buzzer be recalibrated?

Would removing the fan, and installing light wieght pullies, and a lighter flywheel make a big difference? What about Racing beat lightened rotors?

im pretty sure the rev buzzer can be adjusted.
as long as your motor is'nt wore out and you maintane it well 8k should be ok, at least i do and have been for 6 years on the same motor with no problems.
light flywheel and e-fan would help.

How to is in the FAQs in the 1st gen stickies for the buzzer.

For the engine, it really needs internal mods to sustain 8k+ rpms. Hardened stationary gears, balancing, clearancing of rotors and bearings, 3-window bearings and oil mods.
