What is this noise?! (video inside...)

Can anyone tell me what this noise is and how to fix it? I'm confident that it is coming from the tranny...

Video (right click save as if you wish, it's in RealMedia format...)

Video is less than 1 Mb

Here's a narrative of the video (pay attention to the audio rather than the video...)

1. car starts up

2. start off in first gear with clicking

3. shift to 2nd with less clicking, but still noticeable

4. then at the end shift back to 1st with clutch in, clicking again

I don't know what the clicking is...please help! Thanks!

I was'nt able to get the video but my tranny made a similar sound about 3 weeks before the input shaft snapped. Either way you should start looking for a tranny. Clicking sounds never mean good things and they will most likely only get worse

The wheels are spinning. I had the rear end jacked up, put the camera underneath and went "driving".

sounds like a thrown bearing, or bent shaft or something equally bad. Either way, take the tranny off and bring it to your local rebuilder who can tell you what's wrong with it. The more you drive it around like that, the worse (and more $$$) its gonna get. Not to mention that you're risking totally locking up your tranny at 80mph on the highway... which is bad.

*edit* oh btw, how did you keep the underside so clean? mine is rusting away pretty bad, but i dont know how to fix it, and seal it so that it doesnt start rusting again

I dunno, I haven't done anything to it. Maybe it's the different climates. I've heard that the East coast uses a lot of salt on roads which deteriorates cars..That's my best guess.
I don't know how to fix or prevent it.
