Now my idle is speratic

Okay, now for some reason...this weekend my idle is moving up and down from 2200 to 2600. I don't get it...any ideas. I have to check on the vaccuum lines this weekend

thats a pretty high idle. Something probably popped off. I was experiencing some funky idle this weekend; 1100-1300 on startup, and a stumbling 600-800 with 10hg vacuum when warm...turned out to be a check valve that busted open (one going to pressure chamber)

do you still have AWS and double throttle on your car? might want to check into that

That is almost the exact same symptoms I had when my LIM gasket was leaking. My car idled and hunted between 2000 to 2500, and no amount of adjustment could bring it down.

yeah, I'm looking into the vaccuum lines this weekend. I have to daily drive the car cause I don't have anything else to drive right now, so taking it apart means I have to put it all back together in one day. Saturday should be a good day to do this...I'll let you know.

Series, check under the black pressure chamber with two nipples on it. Its on top of the car, bolted in with the crossover pipe going to the IC. The check valve attaches to one of the only two lines coming from the pressure chamber. It's green and black, and has a filter inside it. It should only blow one way.

Also, the arrow on the check valve should be pointing towards the pressure chamber

Black- while we were under the hood today the front line off the pressure chamber wasnt connected to anything. There is a nipple just below it that was empty but we werent sure if that was where it went or not.

No, the line didn't go to the nipple...it went to the check valve...but according to all of the diagrams...the arrow points toward the turbos.

I guess it does on that diagram...but on mine in the service manual it appears to point the opposite way.

That line will not effect idle at all its a part of the turbo control system and don't switch yours around or your secondary will not work.

I figured that much, but the thing is maybe I just can't see it in the manual very well since its a ton smaller in the book.

The two lines that I could see effecting the idle the most would be the two lines coming off the solenoid G and going up to the double throttle control. Other than that...what else would?
