Completed 13brew swap?

Has anyone here completed a 13brew swap into a FC? I have the option to get a well built fd engine with the mounting issue already solved for my TII. The way the shop made it sound I only needed to solve the oil cooler line problem, the sensors, adapter plate for the UIM (LIM?), the tps, and some other little things. So I have been researching the swap. Everyone says that it's way easier to swap in a 13bre because of the mounting issue. I know somebody has to have completed a rew swap, but I haven't ran across anyone who seems to be running one. Is there someting I'm missing? I know it's been covered (yes I searched), but I need to know if it's been completed. Since I have the mounting problem solved, it should be pretty straightforward, right? Thanks.

*edit*
Wow, I just saw another active thread about a pretty similar question. Amazing how these things pop up everywhere! lol

Exactly. That's what they showed me. The one I'm looking at has mounts welded on. The only thing I'm really worried about I guess is the stock ECU controlling it for now. Soon I'll have a rtek upgrade/and or SAFC. But everyone says the swap is soo expensive. Not from what the shop said. A little creativity, but nothing too bad.

they are right... it cost me about 10$ for the materials to mount the rew in the fc

just some creativity...

you'd have to figure out the ecu situation.... and if you want some advice id save and buy a standalone.... best investment aside from wideband 02

What all went into it to make it cost $10g? Is that motor included? By my count it's about $4500 with $3800 engine. There must be something drastic I'm missing or the shop knows something I don't. Does the 10g's include a fmic and standalone or something?

Aaahhhh, now I get it. Okay, it seems to me like the people who want to swap a 13brew into a fc are using the WHOLE motor. I'm using just the block and other necessary parts, not the turbo's or anything. That shoould make the swap not much of a problem, correct? Except for the things I listed already.

well you have to use the rew front cover and CAS or use the fc parts and make your own oilpan like i did

yeah and whatever front cover you use you have to use the waterpump from the same series... like rew and rew or fc and fc

the fc exhaust manifold should go on no problem... though the fc intake manifolds will not fit on the rew... the bolt pattern and everything is very far off

then just a couple block off plates where the secondary oil drain was and misc stuff like that

nice thing about mounting the engine yourself is that you can lower it and center it in the car as the fc engine does not sit in the middle stock... which really was an eye sore for me

ya, the engine is completely ready to drop in. All I have to worry about is the tps, the adapter for the intake manifold, and the retrofitting of the sensors (the shop will take care of those). They also have a source to get the oil lines done for cheap, and are going to toss in a kick *** oil pan with baffles and windage trays! The only problem I see so far is the intercooler. I will go fmic soon, but I don't have the money now. So I'll get together with the shop and work something out. I don't think it'll be pretty, but it will suffice until I get the fmic. Oh, I still need to get a SAFC II, but I'm looking into those now. So I don't think I should run into TOO many problems since I'm not trying to retrofit a complete 13brew into my fc.

I installed an REW by using an RE keg with REW manifolds, front cover etc. I even ran it off the stock rew ecu long enough to get it refereed as a smog legal swap in ca.

My mount system used an off the shelf mount for the right that came with an re mount adapter kit, and a custom made mount for the left made to clear the stock rew sequential turbo system.
