That's sick. Thanks for sharing! Your neighbors must love you... Were you wearing earplugs when you did that? I recorded 124Db at 10' with my MindTrain header, Bonez cat and big Corksport single. That straight header has got to be around 135-140!
BTW, if you haven't done it already, a set of urethane engine and trans mounts really helped the lurch that my car had...

 

nope no earplugs for me.... i have a hearing aid :P so it turns it down automatically if its over a certain decibel but it was still loud as hell for me.... lately ive been driving with my hearing aid off cause i get a headache... oh ya and my neighbors do love me lol but not right now

what gives the engine more power ? straight like urs, or RB complete kit (the one that they say gives 59hp) ?

 

it doesnt give moe power. it lets the engine breather better. its kinda like your car having an asthma attack constantly ( ie stock exhaust ) and someone withought asthma ( performance exhaust )

 

.. less exhaust resistance less energy spent to exhaust more power the engine produces.. at least on atmosferic engines. not sure about turbos

 

or in correct terms, if your butt hole was the size of a straw and you had to poop out of that hole. now would it be eaiser to poop with as toilet paper tube or a straw?

You are thinking of their 3" kit for the Turbo II. This isn't the same thing. On the T-II when you add their exhaust system, the turbo spools up much faster and easier. It is easier to hit higher boost levels. On the T-II you need to use a Fuel Cut Defencer so fuel does not cut out at higher than stock boost levels. The free flow exhaust combined with higher than stock boost levels add up to a 59 hp increase on a T-II. A header or any other exhaust on a nonturbo will not give you 59 hp.

Reminds me of my brother's S4 with an open manifold. He got that fixed though. His is now catless with a glasspack as a midpipe and two stainless canisters. Really deep sound.

Man that was sick, reminded me of when my exhaust manifold was cracked, and i just bought it, the little jerking after every shift, i finally mastered it, but what's up with shifting? I can usually light up 2nd gear easily, dunno about 3rd never had enough space.

For some reason I think the uncollected header makes it a little louder. I wish I had a good quality cam so I could do a few runs and compare.
