What Size Cork To Block Off ACV?

I am removing my air pump this weekend, and I was wondering what size cork to use to block off the hose to the ACV. Any help?

do yourself a favor and remove the acv altogether. get some metal from lowes that is pretty sturdy (~the thickness of a road sign) drill holes in it where the bolts for the acv are and paint it so it wont rust or corrode. if the bolts for the acv are too long you can get a nut that will fit on it, thread it on at a lower point on the screw and tighten it down.

the bolt thing is what i did to switch my s4 fuel rail to an s5

Well, I already bought the RB presilencer w/ the tube for the split air pipe, Soooo...If I remove the ACV, I will have a big stupid tube coming off my presilencer, as well as an exhaust leak!!!

In need the car running so I can get it to a shop to weld it shut. Anyone know the diameter of the hose? I guess I will just buy a ****-load of corks, and try em all!

ok you dont have to cork it off, jsut get a piece of cloth and put it on the hose using the existing hose clamps

If you buy the metal to make the ACV plate, you can use a piece of it to block off the spilt air tube too.

It will too, I used to stick a big bolt in the tube to hold me over till I made a block-off plate.

Do it right, just buy a sheet of aluminum from Lowe's and make a block off plate. If you have a jigsaw it takes like 30 minutes total, including pulling the ACV off. Buy a couple small nuts and bolts and make a plate for the split air pipe too. Its a lot easier than it sounds.

Peer pressure sucks. Oh, wait, I don't have a jigsaw. Hmmm. I will pick up a ACV plate from k2rd, and try to find some metal to work for the presilencer.

Ok, I went to http://www.k2rd.com/Online_Catalog/FC3S/FC3S-index.htm , and looked at the ACV block of plate. $10. But is says it is for the 13BT ACV. Will it work on my car? 91 n/a.

Hey, don't listen to peer pressure, go get a cork! Hey, sounds good to me, what the hell.

Of course, I didn't use a cork either.

that is what i am talking about...... air wont flow out of that, only in, infact the exaust will probably suck air into the pipe rather than push it in
