I would like too get in on the next group buy. I love the rod end style tensioner. Sweet. This is the perfect fix for my turbo first gen which still slips the belt at the water pump even with a dual alt pulley. Plus, I can now run that 4" steel tubing strut tower brace i have been contimplating, since the alternator is out of the way. Let me know when the next batch are ready, or Ill send full payment now for the complete kit , minus the belt ( ill get my own belts at Napa). Whichever you prefer.
Thanx,
Mac

Ok, so it seems that those of us who are using an FD alt in our FC's can still make use of this bracket? I hope so. I've heard nothing but good things about this product so I want to get one when I get back from this deployment. Blake, if it will work with the FD alt on an S4 TII, are you planning on doing another group buy or will the sales be full retail price only through the website?

If this bracket will work for an FD alt in an FC then I would deffinatley jump on the next GB.

This was already addressed earlier, read the whole thread

The Gates XL 7370 didn't work for me, though, and I had to go with a 7380. 7375 would've worked better, but they were out of them and had 7380 so I gave it a shot and it was good, got close to the frame, though.

Also I know I don't need the dual belts anymore, but I figured since I already had the hIGGI dual pulley I might as well just put both belts on for *****

EDIT
Here's a couple more showing more of the engine bay.

Okay, I know it has taken forever, but we have more brackets made up and getting powdercoated as I type. Unlike before, I had the end bosses CNC machined and the assembly professionally welded, so the cost of production has gone up (but so has quality!). On the other hand, I was able to get some flat tensioners (similar to the stock ones) CNC laser cut at a pretty good price. So, I'm looking at a price-point of $65 for the bracket *and* flat tensioner, plus $7.70 priority shipping anywhere in the USA. This is the Group Buy price; retail will be higher. If you want the fancy rod-end style turnbuckle tensioner, I can sell those separately...but not for $15 each, like before; that was a money loser, even with me doing the machining myself. I think I have three or four remaining from the last GB, so I will sell those for $20 each and if anyone wants more, I will have them fabricated at a bit higher price (probably $25 each).

The new bracket *should* work with the 83-85 12A engines with the air/water oil cooler. It is notched to allow room for the hard oil line back to the cooler, which is unique to that model. I say "should" because I copied the bracket I modified for my own 83, but I have since sold the car and don't have another one available for testing the fit. If you order one for an 83-85 12A and for some reason it does not fit, I will refund your money. So, fitment is for everything from 1979-1991. An FD bracket is being worked on, but it needs testing before it is released.

With the last GB, we had some S5 guys complain about needing a stock alternator spacer (not the AC Stud spacers, but the one that goes at the end of the lower mounting boss), so I had some of those CNC'd for those needing one. $3 each, additional.

Line forms to the left. Paypal your $10 deposit to confirm your spot. Paypal account it sales@pineappleracing.com. When the brackets are back from powdercoating, I will request final payment. If you want to pay with a credit card, call us with the info and we will process the payment when the brackets ship. I made 50 brackets, but only 25 will be available for the group buy. Last time, you guys bought up all my brackets and I had no stock for retail sales!

If you pay the $10 deposit, that will hold your place for up to two weeks after the brackets begin to ship, just like last time.

Seven deposits have been recieved. When I get a chance, I will compile the names, so you can be sure of your position on the list. Still recovering from crewing at an 8 hour endurance race yesterday, so I'm trying not to go into work today (Sunday).

BTW, it should be obvious, but all funds must be US Dollars. One deposit was $10 CAD. That, itself is fine (I just want to make sure people are serious), but the final payment must at least equate to the price in USD. Shipping outside the US is okay, too, but you will be charged accordingly, at whatever our cost turns out to be.

I'll take some on Monday, if I get the chance. The new tensioner looks exactly like a stock tensioner, except it is the right size for this application.

No problem.

Okay, but I think that will be the last one of the old batch. Any more will be at the higher price, because I need to make them.

Also:
Blake,

Not sure what to say. I made ten bumper hitches but there has not been a lot of response. Kind of on the back burner. Need one?

Also, how's the waterpump set-up going...?
Haven't done anything there, yet. Very busy preparing for SEMA.
