Talking Funny you ask...

I did this yesterday a couple times on my way back from San Jose....the needle does stop there, so I don't know how fast I was actually going.

That was done with Intake, DP, MP, CB, Power FC and a whole lotta *****.

Hey, that's an awesome pic, I'm surprised that it came out so clear at such high speeds.

Are you sure it's not photochopped. j/k

Talking

140 mph for me. Once it is properly tuned I would love to go faster.

damn that's a good pic, but what psi were you running to achieve 180+ speeds? Did you have any overheating problems like you hear so much about on this forum? Thanks!!

155 for me then I got scared. Hwy 80 is just not that straight and smooth. Last time I knew someone who did 170 his motor popped shortly after. Wonder how long thatoneguy's will last. Nice run thought dude. I'd agree, you have a lot of *****. I start thinking about flat tires & **** about 140

I've only had the ***** to go 160 on Los Angeles highways...150 on the 110 South on the carpool expressway... 160 on the 405 North near Santa Monica.....too scared to go anyfaster, since our freeways are kind of tore up, and I have 1 leaky rear strut and bad bushings in the rear. What a rush tho :p

Speeds of 110-120 aint no thang

most tires get really unstable around 140 . I was doin 145 passing a semi on a two lane road the other day.... I dont think he knew what passed him, i tripled the speed limit (45mph zone) took a little curve tooo, now that was scary....

My friend in the passenger seat took that picture. I took a pic myself, but missed the bottom half of the speedometer. The boost gauge shows .92 kg/cm2, so I was running close to 14psi.

I saw 170 mph indiated before I ran out of highway. Car was perfectly stable but LOTS of wind noise around the edges of the windshield.

140 racing a Porsche 928 on Route 1. Dead heat. I think the car had more but we ran into traffic.

The most I have had it up to is like 110 with in the 2 months I have had it. My turbo timer has a peak speed mode so if I ever get it up to about 150+ I will let you guys know.

Please do not do this high MPH game. It can be a killer. That means you can die. It's very stupid and dumb. Please be sane and drive safely. We don't need any RX-7 owners killed.

i got up to 155 on I 95 about4 yearsago and got pulled over. i passed a cop while i was on the shoulder. he came right after me and i just pulled over knowing i wouldnt get away. ( thats why i was on the shoulder to start with, i hit some light trafic and knew it was going to get heavy b/c i know the road)
anyway, he told me that even if my car was built to go 90-100 mph, i shouldnt b/c its dangerous. LOL! 90-100??? ok, anyway i got a $135 careless drivig ticket. since then i have only been to 140, but 110 is usualy cruisng speed to work at 6:30 am and home is the same at 12:20 or 1:00am.

and that pic at the top.....one of these pics is photochoped. b/c this guy says his needle stoped there, then this one went past that. I AM NOT CLAIMING THIS PIC IS IN MY CAR. i just saved it from someone else's post a while back.
