How FAST???

190 in an FD 
I'm too scared to do top end runs. I've been to 140 before and it was very stable but 190!!!!!!! I'd rather do a 60-120 blast. If a tire blew at 190 you would vaporize - it's cool that we've got 2 pics on here above 180 though - shows how ruthless an FD can be at low or high end

I've only did 110mph, then my y-pipe popped off... But I think "FDFROMHELL" has you all beat by racing the lambo upto 220mph..

I just want to know what kind of insane gearing lets you do 180 (possible +) at only 6000-6500 rpm? And how long did it take to get there, espesially with a passenger and a full tank of gas. And how are you getting 14 psi without a upgraded fuel pump or larger injectors without detonation? I MUST KNOW! 
BTW 165ish with only a d/p and a poorly boosting secondary. Was going over a loooooong bridge, wasnt the smoothest thing ever so I shut it down. Seemed to still have more to give, but I only have one life you know. Seemed stable but going over thoes creases in the bridge...kinda made me uneasy. I say 165ish b/c I was mostly watching the frickin road!

my roommate wanted to do a top speed run a couple months ago in his 2001 eclipse, so we went out one night (real dumb) and went to our favorite back-highway.
gave him a big fat headstart, but by the time i hit 140 i was about to **** my pants (tire blowout, deer, bad road, cop...my mind was RACING!), and was also about to run into the back of my friend. he said he hit 120. wouldn't recommend doing it at night.
the car was amazingly stable, though. my only complaint was i had a lot of ABS shudder slowing down, and by my third run (140 mph, 130, 130), i called it quits due to brake fade
even at 140 it felt like it had a LOT more to offer, which is so damn tempting....but i don't think i have the ***** to do more than 140 unless i'm on a track or something.

hey black.....what ever happened to that racing toilet we were building? i got the lowering donut and the short throw flusher for it, but you never came through w/ the neon bulbs and turbo kit. LOL!!!

It was in the kills section... Someone posted under the name "FDFROMHELL" and tried to say he raced a lambo upto like 240 mph and smoked him. It was a total fake story. No way it happened.

Wouldn't the fuel gauge be dropping as well (ie, seems like unless the car literally just left a gas station...getting to (and going) 180 would take the needle down a bit).

Yes, I took my hands off the wheel at 180. The car was very stable. And yes, I had just left a gas station, one of the last ones in California that had 92 octane, unless they just didn't change the sticker at the pump.

I went 160 MPH on everything stock on 880
i was racing 3000 VR-4
that fool never got me lol
i thought his gonan spank me but didnt come close
and my car is bone stock with just a clutch
and now it DOESNT EVENT start anymore

I hit 160 but it was dark out so i got scared and dropped it down to 140 and then bought it back up to 160 for another quick second but then slowed down again. I was nervous about hitting a dear or a blow out. The car seemed like it had more to go but it felt like the front wasnt even on the groud anymore. maybe if it was light out and i had more open highway instead of a 2 lane in the middle of the poconos in pa i would have went faster. Also im still the tires it roled out the show room with so that worried me alittle also.
