Just installed RB dual-tip

Well, finally got this baby installed.

Quality
The construction quality is very good with smooth bends and the welds are good. The polished muffler and tips look great, although not to the Lord of the Bling's standards.

Looks
The exhaust looks badass on the car. The tips are quite a bit bigger and stick out farther than stock. To be honest, it looks OEM, except for the white Racing Beat logos on the tips.

Sound
The exhaust is barely louder than stock with just a nice throaty punch added to the sound -- WITH THE WINDOWS UP.

With the windows down, it is MUCH louder than stock with a bassy rumble at idle. Accelaration on the primary turbo sounds much more focused and mean than stock. Once the secondary kicks in, you can hear air whooshing along with a throaty howl. Very cool. The only negative in my view is that the exhaust is very resonant. When you let off the throttle at 3k or so, it BOOMS as the revs drop.

In any case, the exhaust is still dead quite under very light throttle and cruising situations.

Power
Well, it's hard to tell because I hadn't driven my car for 10 days due to my alternator being bad and my mech on vacation. To me, it seems to pull a bit harder on the highway than before but I haven't really noticed any increase in power in typical town driving.

I would have posted some pics but my camera crapped out on me, so maybe later. In any case, JR has some good pics on his site: http://jrx7.rx7life.com/rbpics.htm

san lorenzo is right next to san leandro (where 238 meets 880)

BTW, in case I wasn't clear, I DO like the exhaust and would recommend it to anyone. I really don't understand why anyone would want a louder exhaust.

I had the exact same experience when I first drove mine but now guess what?, that's one of my favorite parts! When you're slowing\downshifting to a light and that guy in the Camaro slowly passes you on the right so he can take a long look as he coasts by, you can make that sound at will, just to rub it in.

Dammit! Tons of people seem to be getting their RB dual's, and mine's been on back order for the past 3 or 4 weeks

I can't wait to get it...

I put my name in for the group buy over 3 months ago and just got the exhaust last week. Be patient, it's worth it.

yes, the group buy was definitely worth the wait. We all saved about 100 bucks off RB's retail price. Now, if I could just get the car back from the mechanic so I can see the damn thing.......
