n/a engine into Turbo II

I have the opportunity to buy an 87 turbo II with a re-built turbo and blown engine - body and drive train good - I currently have an 87 n/a with an excellent engine with about 50k but a lot of rust.
Question is how big a job to put my engine into the T2 - will the turbo fit? Is the n/a engine a straight fit on the T2 tranny? [my tranny has bent shift forks - don't ask] - any other weird stuff in the switch I haven't thought off - basically, all I want to do is switch engines, and have a T2 in good shape for a reasonable price.

Not Practical

Well,
The T-II tranny won't bolt up, but that's not half your problem. You'll need an ECU, and more than that, a wiring harness. You cannot bolt all the factory turbo stuff to your N/A. The motor are way too different. If you were to do this swap, you'd have to use your whole N/A motor. It would definitely not be worth it. IMO

You can take the t2 flywheel off, and put it on the n/a engine... then, it will at least bolt up to the transmission.
