stock FD, 15 g's to spend...

i need help. i dont know much about after market products. i have a budget of about 15 g's, maybe more if i really need it. my car is stock besides a ACT street clutch and ulstra lightweight chromoly flywheel, which im gonna sell and get a heavier one for launches.

anyway, my friends is opening up a car and truck parts and accessories plus tint store called Midwest Auto Salon that is actually opening today at 10 am. so i will be able to get a very good discount 1 time only, so im gonna buy everything.

i need help on choosing the products. my goals are for my car to be capable of hitting mid 11's with full interior, unless its not safe for the new motor im gonna buy, but ive heard from some ppl that its safe if i do all the reliability mods.

i want a fast spooling turbo that will run 11's and last a long time. i dont know how to do any work on my car on a professional level so my budget of 15 to maybe more will have to fund all labor costs for everything including R&R and the actual motor which is about 5 g's

and also i live in Minnesota, i dont think there are any reputable rotoy engine builders in my area, so im prepared to travel anywhere in the US for the best services on my motor. i had pettit in FL in mind, but i would appreciate some of your opinions on the best builders

greddy t78 kit, greddy 3 row fmic, rx7store fuel system, kaaz diff, power fc, good quality midpipe, cat-back exhaust, block-off plates, hks twin-power ignition and upgraded cooling system

that should be enough to get you in the mid 11's with a good motor and a good tune on pump gas. spool time won't be as good as some choices, but it's a proven setup

lol i have a more than 15 to 20 g's laying around, plenty more, its called equity, MN is one of the best states to own land. property value doubles in around 8 years, or 6 years for a house on one of MN's 10,000 lakes. I'm refinancing within a month and getting a line of credit on my equity at 6%. but i really dont want to spend too much more than 15 unless i have to

also specific brands would help on products, spool time is acutally a very important goal for me also.

i will definately look into rx7store in ohio, but like i said, im willing to travel anywhere in the US to get the BEST for my car.

Either talk to Steve at gothamracing.com or Chris at rotary performance. List your goals you want to achieve and what type of car you want to build. Street car, drag car or road car, each setup will require different setups. Nice aggressive street port, Greddy T78 with upgraded fuel system, fluidyne radiator, Pulley kit, Power FC+Commander, tuneing, FJO wideband, Fuel-boost-wideband guages, triple guage pod, Dif Brace, Kaaz Rear, chromolly axels, Clutch flywheel combo, full 4in dp, mid pipe exhuast for single turbo, greddy 3row fmic, greddy catch can, upgraded dual oil coolers, hks wastegage, hks bov or Tial, nice wide rims with a huge lip and maybe a nice aftermarket front bumper, rear diffuser, HID lights, torque brace, polyurethane motor mounts, short shifter, NGK 9s, magnacore 10mm wires, HKS twin power, block plates and save money for replacing oem parts.. Call Ray at malloy 1 888 533 3400, for any OEM goodies.. That setup should put you in the 10s if you drag the car runnng about 20 pounds of boost..

Wink

Jxy, whoooa buddy....
i dont want 10's, you listed a little more than i thought i would have to get..
all that stuff doesnt sound like its within my budget even with a wholesale discount. i really dont want to spend much more than 15 to maybe 20ish max IF i have to, but if i have to spend 20 i might just rethink my goals a little i dunno....20 is a lot, especially when i have to get a kit, rims and a paintjob too in the near future, kuzz i got some fender bender accidents to fix up..

and to FD3Autobot, wth is wrong woth you dude.dont try to convince me to do the right thing, i thought about it a lot and its really kinda stupid, its the worst possible investment you can make, to dump a lot on a car, but its something ive always wanted to do and ive had the car for a while now, still stock, just spending all my money on my house.

its time...

i want a combination drag/street car btw, i dont want a 6 or 4 puck clutch unless its really necessary to hit my goal,

also, im not planning on beating on my car n **** either. i just want it capable of 11's for the rare occasion that i drive 4 hours away to the nearest 1/4mile strip. i want that boost controller that has 3 settings and you can change between the settings quickly n ****.. so ill prolly be cruisin on low to medium boost settings like 90% of the time. and i just bought a hatchback for 800 and getting a b16 for the most reliable mid 14sec car you can beat the shat out of all day. so the honda will be my daily driver

you think gothem or rotory performance builds better motors than pettit? better as in reliability, power, porting skills, and cost maybe. im guessing the cost wouldnt vary too much between those 3 shops, but if they do, well then i have some more thinking to do.

my bad FD3sAutobot im faded i meant that message for ijneb. he was the guy who told me to buy stock wasnt he?

well this is what i meant...

What the hell is wrong with you dude. Dont try to convince me to do the right thing(right thing as in invest the money wisely, like a stock). I said I thought about it a lot and I realize its the worst investment, a car. Especially an expensive car thats gonna take a lot more expenses to make it how I want it. All while losing Blue Book value of course.
I said I've owned my car for a few years and it remained stock. I've always wanted to soup it up, but I bought a house and all my income went towards my house for a few years. Now that I have some money to spend, its finally time to do what I've always wanted to do with my car.

apex sideways. im offended when you call me lucky. you idiot dont assume ****. ive worked my *** off for years to get what i got, and didnt spend a dime on anything but pure necessities for like 4 or 5 years with the 1 exception of my FD.

anyways im open to all opinions relating to my car, not how i got to where i am. im sure you didnt mean to offend me but still, you did and you should be told not to assume **** kuzz its f ing rude.

im a nice guy and i can take jokes, but you touched on a sensitive topic by assuming i got to where i am by luck.

take the fd and sell it. put the cash for the fd and your 15k toward a z06. You are going to be spending another twenty grand over the next few years on your fd (new motors and everything else you can imagine breaking when you push the car that hard)...on top of that fifteen grand....so you might as well get a car that will be on the road for a while if you are going to blow your wad.

If I had my way to do it over again, I would.....oh what the hell..I love the fd too...talk to steve at gotham...he will set you up right.
