The Defi unit comes with a sensor probe and fittings, but you will have to have your DP modded to hold the bung. The rule of thumb is to put the EGT sensor at half the diameter of your exhaust (=radius) from the mounting flange. So if you have a 3" DP, mount the probe 1-1/2" from the flange, and try not to mount it straight up from the bottom, so crud won't collect on the threads of the probe, etc.

you dont want to put the egt probe in the DP, You should place it in the manifold before the turbine otherwise it will not tell you what you want.
If your runnin NON-SEQ you can put it like this.

It around 1400-1500 deg F. Mine is running between 1200-1300, which indicates I am running rich. Check ot the following:

One thing to consider if you mount it in the exhaust manifold and a part of the tip comes off (which does happen with our very hot exhaust temps) it will destroy a turbo.

If you mount it just past the flange in the dp you dont have to worry about that. I would just stay more conservative with my readings knowing that its really a little hotter than what its showing.

Also, just because your reading is more or less hot doesnt necessarily mean your rich or lean. Timing plays a huge roll in exhaust temps.
