I think i'm hitting the fuel cut off,but at 10 lbs boost?

I have a auto and i have a down pipe, just installed a mid pipe and greddy PE catback. My boost pattern is 6 or 7 and transition spikes to 10 then back to 6 or 7.I decided to take it on the interstate, i went about 60 miles and it was fine.I didn't get back into the car for about 6 hours ,but on the way home.I was going about 80 and i floor it and when i hit 9 or 10 lbs of boost my exhaust makes a loud blahhh.and i loose boost and i feel like it vibrated the car alittle.Would this be the fuel cut off,but it shouldn't do it at 10 lbs of boost.I have hit 10 lbs of boost in the morning starting from a stop and didn't loose boost and power. It's only when i'm at higher speed.I'm getting a HKS fcon or Pcon from a buddy,he said it's a piggy back system and he also has the fuel cut defencer with it.Could this solve that problem?

fuel cut-off will not happen at 10psi considering thats were stock boost is a stock ECU can handle 12psi, as everybody nows check all the tiny vac and boost lines, one small tare in a hose or maybe a line came off, thats all it takes to cause havoc with the turbo systems

Doesn't sound like a fuel cut off problem at all. What's the rpm at 10 psi for you when you were doing 80? More than likely its a vacuum leak. Check VERY carefully as they hide themselves very very well.

Is this on a stock computer? If so you are probably over boosting but that isn't what your gauge is telling you. This brings me to my next question. Is the boost gauge Autometer. If the answer is yes to either of these questions then you need to change some things on your car BEFORE you push that pedal too far down again.

well You have serious boost problems if your boost gauge is correct. I ran for a week with a stock ECU, downpipe, Midpipe, Catback and I would hit 11 psi by 3k rpms. If I drive it above 4500 I would get a spike of about 17psi so I didnt drive it above 4k until I got my Apex PFC installed. Now it controls boost fine. Even with my Midpipe, Intake, Intercooler, Donwpipe, Catback etc. I have no idea why your only getting 6 psi on your primary. Either your Turbos are Junk or you have some serious Trouble shooting to do. I.E. Boost leaks, Vacuum lines, Stock piping cracked, Y-pipe leaking etc. Better have it looked at by a Shop that specializes in the RX-7.

Fuel cut varies depending what RPM you are at, and yes fuel cut CAN occure VERY close to 10 psi...

RPM----SEA LEVEL CUT OFF(PSI)

1000---11.8
1500---11.8
2000---11.8
2500---11.8
3000---12.2
3500---12.4
4000---12.8
4500---13.3
5000---12.2
5500---11.3
6000---11.1
6500---10.7
7000---10.7

One more question....Why the hell would you do these mods without upgrading your ecu?! Your about 2 seconds from blowing your motor.

A good many autometer boost gauges are far from "dead on ***** accurate." If it was reading incorrectly you could be led to believe you are under boosting when in fact you are over boosting. Based on SilverFlash's description it sounds like he is over boosting, thus causing fuel cut even though his boost gauge tells him otherwise. As others suggested though the problem could easily be something else.
