Carlos Lopez Rotary in Miami or Naples, Fl?????

Anyone Know any information on Carlos Lopez Rotary shop located in miami(or possibly Naples i have been told) i believe. If anyone could give me a phone number to contact him or directions to his shop, that would be nice. He did work on my car before it was mine and upgraded the ECU and a few other things and i have a few questions to ask him. THanks.

CLR performance

His number is 305 235 3696. As far as getting there, I went to yahoo maps and typed in 10890 sw 186 street #31 miami FL 33157. He is VERY knowledgeable on any rx-7 but he has a bad ego problem. About 3 years ago I used to take it to him until he told me "Big name racers fly me all around the world to work on their cars so I don't have time to look at street racers cars, its not worth my time" With a comment like that you would think he has a nice shop, but he doesn't it is a complete P.O.S. I 've never been back since. I he had any clue on customer service ethics he would be far more sucessful because he does no his stuff. Sorry I had to vent a little. Good luck man.

Hell, no dude if I lived in south Fl I'd be going to Chris Anderson (Chrispeed on the forum). I forgot the name of the shop he's at but I'm sure you can find out or either PM him.

He's bad *** and knows whats going on with the rotary engine. Well I guess that obvious with his personal unsponsered 9.2 1/4 mile car in full street trim, and he'll be faster this year!!!!

Later,
STEPHEN

Luis knows his $hit (all gens) and has no attitudes. Just wants customers to be happy. He was Pettit's lead tech and left because (what I have heard) he had his own ideas about how a shop should be run, and how jobs should be handled. He has been very helpful on the Florida email list.

Crispeed's shop is attached to SFP - South Florida Perfomance. They have a dyno in house as well. I can tell you Chris is a guru, and a nice guy. A difficult combination to find. If you need a good rotary shop - Chris is the lman, as he is a young guy who has worked on rotaries over 13 years. Trust me, he is the Lead dog, everybody else just follows his lead.

Dim, what happened to your engine? How did he fix it? What kind of car? How much did he charge? I need some internal engine work done.

I went over to lopez racing and he was a nice guy. Yeah his shop is small but that doesn't mean anything. He was a 600hp 1 first gen and he had no problem working on my car. His shop is hard to find. The best way to find it is to locate the Home Depot. Its on the same road as the entrance. I guess after getting really big you don't work on small things anymore. Hell...most people don't even look at second gens...they are basically the same engine design. Petit is over priced and I hard people with major problems with them.

Its the only place in Miami that I would take my car.

1st 2nd and 3rg gen expericence is hard to find.

From: Miami - Given 1st place as the POOREST city in the US as per the federal government
Just out of the blue, I was driving through that area just reminising about an old shop some buddies use to own with a dyno, and then I see a bunch of RX-7s parked in front of a bay so I decide to drive by....

It was Lopez Racing. It's funny about all the things people say about him and his ego, and let me tell you. with the face that this guy has, I can truly believe it. But I'm not going to judge someone I never met.

Anyways..............
He had about 4 FDs parked in front ready for service. A couple FCs and some 1st gens. The guy is most certainly getting business, so he must be worthwhile.

Then again, one of those FDs had a Type R emblem in the front where it replaced the mazda emblem, so I don't know.......
Oh, and every car looked downright dirty and nasty.
And with the area this place is in, unless he can fit my car in his bay, I would NEVER leave it overnight. Assuming I'd ever take my car there to begin with....

Some of you guys are confusing

Carlos Lopez Racing / CLR
and
Alex Lopez Racing

Both shops are 1 minute from each other.

I still recommend Crispeed over any other.
Does it matter.
