BMK/Battery Relo Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a BMK, or battery relocation kit? There was someone on the National RX7 mail list selling a BMK earlier in the year, you on here? Anyone tried the M2 battery relocation kit?

My battery is dead due to inactivity, and I'm attempting to use this as an excuse to do something different.

TIA,
Andy Wood

you can relocate your battery with a odyssey pc925 for around $150 or less. try doing a search for "relocate battery". it's been discussed before.

Don't waste your money on the batt. relo. kit buy PC680 or 925 and cable at batt+ or national tire and batt.,you don't have to cut up your bins either like everyone does unless you truly have to race the car. If some one will give me a email I will send pics to post actually give me a few I'll go take some pics for you guys

Actually a 925 won't fit if you do it this way. but I'm about to put in some new bins anyway so I'll have to do this again.

if you are going to race the car you'd better cut out the bins and bolt the battery tray to the chassis. putting it in the bin would not be safe for racing conditions. but if you don't race and don't want to cut the bins that solution looks good.

I did a BMK, which can be seen on my site. My friend at the 7upclub did a very nice relocation for a very small amount of $$$. His site is linked on mine.

Thats what I said,so many people cut there bins and don't race. actually it does look alot better had I not had it out and just stuffed it back in for the pic.

iS IT ME OR IS THAT ONE REALLY BIG BIN? I have two smaller bins side by side back there, I ended up cutting out the passenger side bin and bolting my battery to the chassis (sp?) the lid is still there so you cant tell the battery is there but it was a bitch finding a battery that would fit in through the opening.

I did the BMK and am very happy with it...the smaller size also gave me room to mount my Crane HI-6 ignition amp (see link below). The small battery does get low on juice if the car sits. It has always started my car (and my 7 is not my daily driver) ...even when it has sat for a couple weeks and is very low on juice. I had it in there for almost 3 years now and never had to charge the battery or jump the car to start it.

The 20 pounds removed from the nose of the car is also nice. :)
