Question Nrg Hood Dampers

Ramy,

I would have bumped the old thread, but it is now in the archives.

I purchased a set of NRG hood dampers from the old group buy (one where it started out as RE hood dampers, but changed to NRG). Anyway, I finally got around to installing them this weekend and I find out that the set I have does NOT contain the aluminum extensions. The installation instructions show them, but they were NOT in my box.

Did anyone else experience this problem, or was I the unlucky one?

Also, the dampers are for CF application.

Charlie

Interesting... I have yet to install mine that I got from that GB.

I just took a look at mine too see if I have those parts and I do.

Here are a couple pictures to help Ramy get you what you need:

FYI - My dampers came in a box that said they were for OEM hood use. I specifically asked for one for a set for use with a FG\CF hood. I brought this up with Ramy upon receiving them and he assured me that I got the right set.

Still kinda worried about using them and ******* up a nice hood though.

^^^

Thanks for the picture. I just opened my box this weekend and I unfortunately did not have the extensions. Looks like I was the unlucky one after all...

Not sure why mine would have not been in the box.

This is why I STRONGLY urge you guys (and on the new site it will be a required part of the Terms of Service) to inspect everything once it arrives, even if you won't be installing it for YEARS

Anyway...Charlie, want me to see if I can source one of those extensions for you?

Mark, thanks for the pics. Super helpful And yea, you got the right ones. Don't worry; you'd KNOW if you had the wrong ones by now lol.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Ramy,

Yes, a bust on my part for not inspecting it once they arrived. Yes, please try to see if you can source the extensions for me. Much appreciated.

I probably won't be installing these for a while. Too many other projects going on and my FD is sorta on the back burner. Eventually when installed I'll post pics but others probably with before me.
