Not to sound stupid or anything, but will this take away from the handling characteristics of the car? Also, I actually enjoy gettin' the car loose. Will I still be able to? Can it be turned on and off.....

TIA,

Riz

YayeR 07-30-07 10:20 AM

You can adjust the slip when it's on, and yes you can turn it off. Check out the link posted above.

str8ryd 07-30-07 10:55 AM

Thanks! Checked out the link and it looks like a great product. How much will it cost for a 20B system, Ramy?

Finally, is this safe to run on our cars? In terms of fuel/spark cut? I'll keep doing some research, but just wondering if anyone had a quick answer.

calculon 07-30-07 11:38 AM

yes it's safe. . .if you search the rotary performance subforum you'll find a thread with "traction control" in the title. some good info in there

they don't do the spark cut anymore, only fuel cut.

EDIT:

here's the link

FDNewbie 08-02-07 10:58 PM

Ok guys before I get knee-deep on this, I need you guys to read up about the RaceLogic units and their optional accessories here: http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=Traction_Control then list the EXACT units you're looking for along w/ any accessories you'd like. That way I can know exactly what we'll be ordering.

Thanks,
~Ramy

reboot 08-03-07 01:59 AM

i dont see one for 4cyl?

calculon 08-06-07 07:56 AM

1) calculon - Racelogic unit, Launch Control, Full Throttle Shift, and Digital Adjuster

Juiceh 08-06-07 09:46 PM

1) calculon - Racelogic unit, Launch Control, Full Throttle Shift, and Digital Adjuster
2) Juiceh - 2 Racelogic Units with Launch Control, Full Throttle shift, Digital Adjuster, Datalogging, Wheel Speed Sensors.

str8ryd 08-07-07 08:43 AM

Just a quick question if anyone can help: We don't need "wheel speed sensors" if we already have ABS installed, correct? TIA

Juiceh 08-07-07 09:42 AM

I think so. The RaceLogic website says that it will work using the vehicles existing abs system, if you don't have ABS installed you need wheel speed sensors. I don't have ABS on my FC and I don't think I'll keep it on my FD. So, I'll be needing them. :D

GooRoo 08-08-07 04:49 PM

1) calculon - Racelogic unit, Launch Control, Full Throttle Shift, and Digital Adjuster
2) Juiceh - 2 Racelogic Units with Launch Control, Full Throttle shift, Digital Adjuster, Datalogging, Wheel Speed Sensors.
3) gooroo - Racelogic unit, Launch Control, Full Throttle Shift, and Digital Adjuster

I think the part number is RLTC6DIA for what I am interested in. I would need to know price and delivery timeframe before committing with a deposit.

calculon 08-08-07 05:01 PM

you won't need them for your fd, just take out the ABS, not the wheel speed sensors. Save some dough

Juiceh 08-08-07 05:50 PM

What? So, take out my ABS and don't get the wheel speed sensors? How will the TC work then?

str8ryd 08-09-07 06:52 AM

^^That statement confused me too? Please explain....

reboot 08-09-07 01:20 PM

You leave your stock ABS sensors in and use those. If you dont have any stock sensors, you buy the ones from Racelogic.

Stab? What stab?? You referring to the fact that I asked ya about Racelogic like THREE TIMES in one thread without a response? :hint hint: If so, na man, I'm straight haha ;) I'm just glad to see ya still lurkin around the forum. Haven't talked to ya in a minute too... Hope all's well man. We gotta catch up sometime soon...

9) rxcited2 - RLTC8DIA & TCCLUSHIFT Adjustable Traction Control (8 Cyl) + Launch Control + Data Logging ABS + Digital Adjuster + Full Throttle Shift

I am slightly confused by the Race Logic pages (http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=Tra...-Retail_Prices) because of the many different cylinder options and not knowing how exactly they apply to rotors! It looks like the newer units (8 cylinder models?) are required for data logging so that was the basis for my choice. If I could get the 6 cylinder model with launch control, digital adjuster and data logging, I would because I specifically confirmed with Race Logic in the past that the 6 cylinder model can be configured for a 13B rotary engine.

Are these correct statements?

1) 6, 8, or 12 cylinder units can be configured with a two rotor motor (13B). What about three rotor motors? (20B)
2) ABS units will work with existing wheel speed sensors by tapping into oem harness inside the passenger kick panel. Non-ABS units require purchase, installation, and wiring for wheel speed sensors (Race Logic P/N TCWSSSET)
