FDNewbie Imports still in business?

Hi,

Is FDnewbie still importing stuff for sale. I know he gets alot of emails but I have emailed the business email and haven't heard back yet. I wasn't sure of the turn around time. I want to buy some items from the website and have another item sourced if possible. Thanks

Hey

Ramy,

Been trying to get ahold of you. Need some Rotary Run Racing headlights if you can source some and some other stuff. Drop me a line when you get a chance.

Thanks

I think you guys might underestimate just how many email's Ramy gets.

Trust me, he'll get back to you...he's a VERY stand-up honest guy!

I figure he will get to me but I am just inpatient I guess. I have been wanting different headlights for awhile and the other day my pass side headlight lid damn near flew off. I don't want to pay 100.00 for a new just to get new lights later. So I want to get new lights ASAP cause without the lid it is UGLY. I plan to start throwing money at my car now and Ramy has a lot of cool stuff on his site

Be prepared to wait. Many of us have orders in with Ramy and we are all waiting, this stuff takes a lot of time. I have been communicating with him Via email for the last 6 months to get some parts from him. Recently he invoiced me for the parts. I don't know when I will receive them yet, but I'm guessing 1-2 months from now since they have to come over on the slow boat. So if you need something ASAP, especially a rare discontinued part like rotary run racing headlights, don't expect to get them ASAP. Its just not going to happen.

I know it is not going to be overnighted. Months huh? Ouch. I guess good things come to those who wait.

Hey Ken,

Off the bat, my guess for something like Rotary Run Racing headlights is a few MONTHS, IF I can find 'em. They've been discontinued for quite a while now...and weren't very popular when they were available. So kind of a toughie. But I can get other stuff for ya pretty quickly, like RE Amemiya, C-West, or Knightsports headlight kits, etc.

What money?? LOL

Oh and it's taken a while for the Panspeed ish b/c believe it or not, they are NOT accepting new accounts. They have a set # of dealers, and are so overworked and underpaid that they aren't willing to do any more work for new customers. So I had to spend a good bit of time building a relationship w/ 'em while simultaneously looking for a Panspeed dealer that would be willing to work w/ me on opening an account. It's a LOT of legwork for some of these walk-in-only shops. You have *no* idea...

RE-Amemiya & jrios, thanks for the kind words

Ramy,
I know they are rare. Actually Chuck said his cousin makes replicas of the lights but that he currently has none in stock. I doubt he would fire up a batch of new ones just for me unless there was more interest. They don't have to be the real deal as long as they fit. If you can find either the originals or replicas I will buy them. Thanks

Ken

Stuff for sale

Ramy are the pics of the items on your site already in your possession? There are some other items I am interested in.

Thank you so much for taking the time to establish a relationship with them. Those of us that want their parts and have been looking and trying so hard to get them appreciate it greatly!

Mark, my pleasure

Ken, most of 'em are. Shoot me an email at Info@FDNewbieImports.com with what you're interested in, or if you're ready to order, use the Orders page on the website, and place an order directly.

As for the lights, your best bet is to push Chuck's cousin. I have no definite ETA on this item, since I have no idea when it'll pop up for sale in Japan.

Thanks,
~Ramy

My 1992 FD, need a JDM downpipe, the US version gets in the way of my steering shaft. How long do you think it will be?

Yah, I can't get ahold of him either. I actually called too, but no response.

Ramy, if you're reading this, I really need to speak with you. Specifically, it's regarding the parts I ordered which I'm still waiting on and a couple additional things.

dude. the guy runs a 1 man show. i expect email responses to take about 2 weeks. sometimes less. He does a lot of business and probably doesnt have the budget for employess and equipment and data processing systems to make it a quick process.

If you're expecting a 3 - 4 day turnaround time from me, you're in for a shocker Def. not gonna be that quick. There are PLENTY of ppl in line ahead of ya...

tried to send a pm and it was full
B/c I leave it full on purpose, b/c my sig clearly says NOT to PM me for business related matters

and then tried to Message him on aim and still no response....
B/c ppl take advantage of AIM to jump ahead of the line of responses I'm already working on. So I just simply am always away on AIM

In short, be patient, and you'll get a response ASAP. Promise

Riz, I called you, left you a voicemail, AND responded to your post in another thread. Not sure how I haven't responded??

I am, and I've been awaiting ya to return my call

kevinlin22, the parts are en-route. I'm awaiting their arrival.

Thanks,
~Ramy

My fault man, I missed your call that day and haven't been able to get ahold of you since. I also posted this reply prior to noticing your response in the other thread. It's all good though bro, I fully understand how busy you can get, and I'm not worried . Just had some questions for ya. I'll give you a call over the weekend.

Later,

Riz
