Looking for info on Panspeed

Hey guys, I'm trying to find the Panspeed website and its just not happening. Does anyone in this section know where in Japan Panspeed is located? Or is there anyone that lives close to their location who could maybe drop by and get some info? Theres a number of people that would like to get a hold of panspeed to order directly from them and its kinda hard to do that when they don't seem to have a website.

Please help! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

It would be because PANSPEED doesnt have a webpage. I was the closest thing to it when I was open.

Panspeed is in Saitama in Japan. Its a PAIN-O-*** for me to go, and no one here you can really order from, so dont know what else to tell ya.

Is there any way you could go to them and order a hood for us and ship it over here? We could make it worth your while.

The hood wanted is pictured in this thread.

If not, do you have any contact info at Panspeed?

Shipping from Japan to 1 central location in the US is $500 for 1-3 hoods. Each hood box is $500 for shipping weither there is 1 hood or 3.

I wouldnt help anyone knowingly make replicas either though.

You can always talk to Rich at bulletproof if they are still open, im sure he would hook you guys up.

Finally!!!

I thought I was the only person that felt this way about people making these rip off kits and hoods and what not. I live about 20 minutes from Panspeed and drive by there a couple times a week. I may just stop in an give them a heads up to whats going on.

If you can make a copy of a hood then you can make and original as well. Use your brain a bit I am sure you can design a hood that you would like.

A few of us have decided to go in on some genuine hoods instead. I got 3 people right now including myself that are in for genuine hoods. Honestly, I'd much rather have a genuine hood than a replica.

*edit*
If these parts weren't so hard to get, I don't think people would be replicating them. I was originally gonna try ordering a panspeed hood for myself thru Taka Kira but I don't trust that site. I'd love it if I could order directly thru panspeed. They need a website!!

For real, if it were easy to have a genuine Panspeed hood, I would have had one on order the day after I cratered my steel one. I don't mind shelling out wads of cash, for my car, as long as the product provides me with what I need, is great quality, and lasts a while. I was only trying to go with what
was more convenient at the time(a hood being replicated in the US = easier to get), but if I had a way of directly contacting Panspeed, and they ship factory direct, then that route would have been taken ages ago. I also agree with what was said above. If all companies actually made their stuff readily available the consumers(main profit source) that want it, regardless of where they are, there wouldn't be a need to replicate anything. I also disagree with the assumption that everyone can make their own parts. Not everyone has the resources, money, and knowledge/expertise for that, hince why aero/performance companies exist. I am also one of the 3 looking into getting a genuine hood... mainly because there'd really be no "middle-man."

maybe I did not phrase that very well. What I meant to say is if someonce can replicate a hood they should have the ability to create an original as well.

I am willing to work with you guys on a group buy if you can organize a place to have all the hoods shipped to. If a decent amount of the hoods are ordered I am inclined to think they are not going to be replicated and I hope it does not happen.

I do understand everyones feeling about the product not being readily available all over. That is a pretty common issue with the Japanese tuner companies that get all kinds of fame from the Option videos and drifting and all that jazz but in reality these are small companies that did not and do not intend to enter the international market. From my experience most Japanese companies figure they are better off staying in Japan and sticking to the routine they have established rather than going into new markets and taking risks or even if there is no risk there are more responsibilities and other issues they would prefer not bothering with.

you can post more about your request here or you can pm me if you like.

yes I am the other third of the deal and we will need to ship to chicago area then we will ship the remaining hood to EJay. Do they ship in larger quantities like 4 or 5. Any idea on price? For the record I would rather NO ONE EVER replicated this hood after I get my origional because that would keep it more rare.

+1 I've never seen one of these hoods in the states, I don't want to see any more except for tinvestor's after I get mine.

The only reason I wanted a replica from shineauto would be for a carbon fiber replica. Taka Kira only sells fiberglass ones so I don't know if Panspeed even makes them in CF. Panspeed does make some things in CF though. Like an insane FD strut brace. So maybe they can make their hoods in CF?

Yeah I think there may be a few more people that may want to get in on this.

Shipping the hoods to tinvestor and I in chicago would probably be best. Then we could ship the remaining hood to EJayCe996.

Circuit Theory, when do you think you will have a chance to stop by Panspeed for us? Could you find out if they can do CF hoods as well?

It is friday evening here now I should be able to swing out to panspeed in the morning tommarrow. I highly doubt they will make any in CF because they do not see much of a market in the FC here in Japan which is what they focus on. The FD is the big market here. I know they and many other companies could make a killing by selling products in the states but they do not care to bother with it really. I will update you all tommarrow evening about this time or maybe sunday evening which would be late saturday night for all of you.

Tom

Juiceh---Yeah I told the owner/President several times they need to get as well. Out of all the WELL named aero parts producers I would say PANSPEED is probably the smallest operation.

DID ANYONE TRY BULLETPROOF?????????????????????? IM PRETTY SURE RICHARD HAD THEM AS WELL.

I dont know about now, but PANSPEED stopped making 100% of their product in CF because of some problems with the supplier. Last time I heard that from a Japanese company they never sold it again.

I tried looking up Bulletproof but didn't find any info on them. I did find a bunch of links to 50 Cents album though. Got a website address for bulletproof?

Damn that sucks about the CF. I hope they haven't stopped making their kickass CF FD strut brace. Its soooo hot! I ******* want one!

$2100 is a shitload for a strut brace though! LOL

Circuit Theory, thanks for looking into this for us! We really appreciate it!

bulletproofautomotive in NYC is the place he's talking about.

if you guys are ordering official PANSPEED hoods, I'd be interested in one, depending on the price... those hoods are wicked.

I'm surprised no one asked me...I've dealt w/ Panspeed directly before... I'm actually placing a few inquiries (ie tentative orders) with them as we speak...

Juiceh, kindly see the line directly above my banner (in the post before yours). I'm pretty much not responding to PMs related to business matters. It's too difficult to keep track of things that way. Please email me.

Thanks
