96 FD Engine Wiring Diagram

Like the title says, I'm looking for a wiring diagram for a 96 FD. Specifically, the engine. If you have any more Series 7 or 8 wiring diagrams that you are willing to share, I'll be happy to get a copy. I figured I would ask you guys before going to the 3rd gen section. Even with the search function I couldn't get anything.

did you ask the Australians? they deal with RHD;. i know there a manual you can download, but it is in katakana, but if you have a katakana translator or speak nippon ( i would assume you would since your location is Japan), you can see that the words are english but with a touch of nippon.

I posted on ausrotary today, so it's a matter of waiting. If you know where I can download or view the manual, I would greatly appreciate it. I can read katakana and hiragana. It's just a matter of translating the hiragana. Katakana is easy to translate. Thank you for that information, anything helps.

P.S. I like how you said "the Australians". I read it like it was forbidden to talk about them. Haha.

I saw a thread once from like 2005 with a link on a random download website. It wasn't working by the time I got to it. If you do find it, I would be so happy to have it. I'll need it to wire my S5 engine harness to run a 96 engine on a 93-95 Power FC in my FC3S. Weird, isn't it? Lots of work. :/

You just need to search in Japanese on google and you'll find it. The wiring diagram is in katakana mostly.

I've searched a little bit and found a 93-95 ecu pinout and even a fc dedicated website(awesome) but nothing much else. I'll keep looking though, since that actually produced better results.

Oh. I see now. I didnt understand the diagram of the plugs. Theyre stacked on top of each other. My bad. What are the blacked out plugs supposed to be?

They're stacked because 96+ is 16bit ECU as opposed to the 8bit used in 93-95 fd and fc's. The blacked out part on top is showing you what the back of the ECU would look like if you were to see it like the harness was going in.

the blackened ones = NOT USED

out of the 4 plugs you can see there only the three are actual plugs

Do you guys know which of these wires in that diagram I would have to cut to disable the speed limiter on my FD? I have a 1996 JDM fd.

Im pretty sure it is more complicated than just cutting a single wire. I know the spped limiter is removed with a rom tune, or you could swap your computer for a computer from a country or state that does not have speed limiters. What speed MPH or KMPH does it cut at?

it cuts at 180km/h as per japanese spec... there is a thread in the 3rd gen board that says you can cut a wire to get around the speed limiter, this is the one I am talking about:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...-668599/page2/

if you check out the last post on that page the guy says it works for the 16bit ecu
