Problems with the HKS Super Mega Airflow kit...

Ok...So I got this HKS kit and when I went to install it I realized that the adapter piece that is supposed to go to the mass air flow sensor is a round rubber flange (for lack of a better word) and the part of the mass air flow sensor where it connects to the stock air filter box is flat and square.
My guestion is this... Is this a European spec thing or did Cork sport send me the wrong kit? Is anyone here in Europe running this kit and if so did you have to get a special flange or make one yourself? If not did your kit come with a flange that was flat and square on one side with 4 bolt holes? Surely I'm not the only one in Europe running the HKS kit so any help would be super!!!!

Also, what do I have to do to order Higgi's short shift kit?

what you got is probably kit for S5 (model year 89-91) which has different air flow meter
if you have S4, order parts only for model year 87-88 and you should not run into troubles

about shortshift kit, they are sold out and not making new ones, sorry...

Yea after doing a little research last night I figured that out the 89's in the states are s5's. So no new kits from you, huh? You know anyone that might be selling a used one? And don't you have a website? If so can you link me to it?

Your car is S4, 88 model year (registered in 89, but still model year which describes all functions is 88 - i would stick with saying you have 88 to make things simpler

No new kits from me, there are plenty of kits cheaper on ebay now, some guys are using miata shortshifters etc...just give it some time searching thru forums....
And no info about one for sale used..sorry

Hey Higgi... after goofin' around for a bit I clicked on that link in your sig and there we're some of those MAF adapters like I need to solve the problem I'm having here. Do you still have any of those or are they gone as well? And just to let you know I measured the rubber piece that whould fit to that adapter and it was 3" on the side that connects to the filter and like 2 3/4" on the side that goes to the MAF adapter. It's rubber so I'm sure that it should stretch a little if your adapters where a little larger than that.

That should be ok (that it's 3") even if the rubber piece I have doesn't fit I can't imagine it would be to hard to find a piece of 3" rubber hose somewhere to make it work. If you still have one I'll take it, PM me about how you want me to pay and such if you do have one.
