Nice looking baby, Mireck
How hard/expensive is it to get something like that (= any car that has not been sold on the Dutch market initially) registered? In Belgium it's cheap to import from another EU country (fe: UK) but difficult (at least it used to be) to register cars that don't have type approval.
I have been looking at Cosmo's too lately But only if I move to the UK. Can't afford one if I stay in Belgium.
So tell us, how is it driving??? And how much fuel does it use

It's not that hard anymore to get it registered. They (the RDW) will put the car through a induvidual type approval, and you need to supply them with as much information on the car as possible. This can only be done with factory build cars, no kit-cars.
The downside is that this inspection is 10x times as expensive as normal (110 euro's,this inspection 1100 euro's)
And after the inspection the car will go through customs and they will charge you a little less than they would be charging for a FD (20B was sold in 1990 for +- 32000 Euro's the FD's where sold in 1992 for 40000 euro's)
but still it will be somewhere between 1500 and 2000 euro.

But it is always cheaper than moving to Japan

I've been wanting one since 1997 after i discovered Lance Warren's 3rotor.com website.

It drives like silk, super zoom-zoom smooth

It drinks like hell, 1:5 l/km in the city, 1:10 l/km on the highway

It give you a smile wider than the car itself is

they say:

3 rotors - 2 turbo's - 1 hell of an additude

The car is allmost stock, except for the rimms, RE-Amemiya undernose, wing and sideskirts, Catback
But i think the car is already perfect being stock 227Kw and 402Nm.

The badge is brass, and it's located in a hole in the sideskirts just before the rear fenders

I'm actually thinking of putting in some lighting in the RE-Amemiya Cosmo sideskirt badge hole, i think it would like nice and chic.

Nice!

There are still less then 10 20B cosmo's in mainland Europe, so the more the better!

I know of 1 in Belgium, 2 in Germany, 2 in Norway and 1 in Russia, so together with your one and mine that would make 8 Cosmo's in mainland Europe.

Good luck with the Cosmo, i'm sure your gonna like it!

Man oh man... I can't stop dreaming of 3 rotors spinning around now

I just wanted to say you shouldn't put the boring pics on there; there's only one thing we want to see: THE ENGINE. But I see you already took care of that
BTW: of course the other pics aren't boring either, but let's face it: the engine is what wwe are all after

i can already dissapoint everyone who is going to ask it.

The car will remain as close to stock as possible, i already got 4 brand new stock 15"BBS rimms for the car (at least if they are the same as the TII cabrio BBS's , it looks like they have the same rimms)
So the 17" 2 piece Maystorms will be sold.

Greets,

Mireck

Congratulations with your latest purchase Mireck! Looks like you found a nice one.

Denmark will have it's first 20B Cosmo in about 2-3 months. Wish it was me but it not. I'm also pretty sure, I have seen photo's of a 20B Cosmo in Sweden too.... think Magnus would know for sure.

Regards
Oliver

Hahaha no offense meant. And as for your decision to keep it a stocker... I would do exactly the same. Big thumbs up.

Hello all you JC Cosmo lovers in Europe! Now i am driving Swedens second imported Cosmo on the road! First is a 91 model in Gavle 150km north of Stockholm. My car is black but shifts to green metallic when it's sunny...cool. As mentioned earlier the car is silky smooth and has very good brakes. I check the boost pressure yesterday and find it spike to 0.55 bar at low speeds and then drop to 0.3 bar. I think the engine is close to 300 hp but i will find out soon when i take it to my RotoTest hubbench. You can read more about in the 20B forum here at RX-7club. Thank you for reading!
