I didn't watch everything either, I can't stand a few hours of bullshit that is supposed to be "music". But I did make sure to tune in for Finland, and must say the song wasn't bad at all. I did also watch the points being giving, and was amazed they got so much good points from so many countries. It should indeed mean that now not only empty pop-songs will be in the next euro-vision contests.

 

Did I ever mention that I got tickets for Iron Maiden concert
I guess the song contest will be the new hip thing to watch from now on

Yup. Big props to those guys. Their song was actually pretty good. If it played on the radio I would not change the station. A little bit of metal never hurt anyone unless you are an apex seal that is.

Kim, you need to get your priorities straight Point is, we all like **** and little skirts, but when it comes down to music, we think there's more to it then that.
Anyway, we had a serious discussion at work yesterday, about the song that won. A few guys claimed this was awfull etc. So I said they couldn't be that bad, as they got the highest number of points ever. So these guys claim that Lordi only got those votes from 16 year olds. When I answered that doesn't matter, and that eurovision shouldn't be for oldtimers only, they didn't really like me anymore Good thing I could go out and drive a train.
Anyway, overhere most people DO like the Finnish song, even my parents claimed it was the best and deserved victory. And my daughters like it too ( and they're only 1 and 2.5 years old!) So that makes three generations, take that you ABBA clones!
