OMG !!

Are you serious in putting it in the car ?
Damn... that will be a lot of work. Some say around $20k in parts and labour.

That gonna be some fast RX7. Imagine your Rex now having a TOURQUE also

That is one nice looking motor you purchased....

Just wondering....
Is it going to be in the forward position?...relocating the steering rack. Who's going to build the custom sub- frame for you?
Best of luck with your project and look forward to photo's.

Ace - I would think 500 hp ported and modified.....over 20 psi and your talking big numbers.

Wait a minute!!!!!! I'll be in Greece next week, from Wednesday until Sunday!!!!!!! If your car is still at Petros, I'll drop by to have a look FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!

Just to take a look at that engine IRL........

And just 500HP ? I've heard crazy things about 20B turbo-ed rotaries......

Its just one more rotor. Yes, you can put out 700hp, but I think 550 is more realistic. And you finally get TORQUE !

Basicly, you can get 1.5 times the power of a 13B. Of course that's not 100% correct, but close enough. So since a j-spec 13B put down 280hp stock, the 20B should do 420hp by just releasing some of the horses held back by Mazda. And those 420 wouldn't affect engine life! So from those 420 you can start tuning. According to Mariah Motorsports a 20B can be pushed to 480-680hp (depending setup) reliable! And that's from an engine sold in a car that offically made 280hp (more like 300 in real life, but still). Not to say Mazda probable put more energy in de-tuning the 20B then in tuning their race engines!
If you go for 500-600hp you'll have a very nice engine, reliable powerfull, and plenty of torque.

Definately. I'm flying back to Greece on Wednesday afternoon, so it'll be OK for me on Thursday and Friday (or even Saturday, but I dont think Petros will open on Saturday just for us )

We haven't decided yet about the location of the engine. I must speak with petros and see! The good thing is that petros ROTARY BEAT has excellent mechanical skills so i am thinking about a custom sub frame. The bad thing is that noone here at greece can tune a 3rotor, so planing to first buy an ecu tuned from us or australia and second if not work according to mine ambitions to take the car to GBrit. My goal is yes about 500hp but i am thinking to buy also re amemiya wheels so i must rexamine my finance!
Dimitris!

Demitris,
I am sure you are doing your homework on this..the caddle that is. Here is a thread I saw today. Might have some info and contacts for you?

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=259003

Didn't realize a custom subframe cost that much.....I believe those prices are for stock subframe exchanged too? not sure?

Anyway, you have a great project going.
