Well I have gone through all possible scenarios and the only thing that I can thik is that there may be something behind the selector block inside the shifter tower keeping it from moving. I have not been able to block 3 gears at once. Even jammed up the gear selector lockouts. But it would only jam 2 gears. Remove the shifter, push the block forward and feel aroun d the back of the housing to see if there is a washer or something in there.

BTW Fram oil filters suck!!! when you are running over 135 p.s.i. lol.

No nothing bent and the tranny drove fin for almost 3 days... Then outta the blue as i was puliing into a parkinglot i couldnt get her to shift outta second. Tried everything (YES everything...) to get her to go into first. Then i figured i would try with the car off, No luck. And thats when i found all the top gears are locked out.
None of the top gears share the same shift rod... There only true connection would be wherer the shifter connection is. So im gonna drive around a parking lot today and hope for the best....

FINALY! Just as Army said, nothin really suspect mechanicly... I just couldnt get my fat fingers behind the shift block far enough. So i shifted it into 2nd (DUH) And well to my suprise i find a screw. This is really odd because all the screws in the cab have been acounted for... And it shifted fine for a few days.
So i suspect that the guy i bought it from somehow droped a screw in after he took it out or something. ..
Anyway smiling from ear to ear now cuz i can actualy pass people now! HAHAHA

Yea I talked to him the other day for a very short period of time while I was at work. He said he had been travelin' around with his wife/girlfriend(?). And I've seen him drivin around base a couple of times after that. I know his phone was off awhile back, but I haven't tried to call him for a week or two. Like I said in my other post I think his wife/girlfriend has him by the short and curlys for now, LOL! Btw, I'm going to pick up a whole slew of spare parts from Aaron here in a little bit. He sold the gold FC for $4,500 and the guy didn't want all the extra stuff, lol! Also since you (Armyofone) helped Grease take his tranny out I might enilst your help soon. I'm going to rebuild the tranny and diff I'm gettin from Aaron and when all my other tranny stuff (driveshaft, clutch, flywheel, assorited bearings and seals) get here I'm gonna try to slap it all in some weekend. If you wanna help the beer's on me!!!!

OMG I cant remember the name of the guy i'm buying it from, anyways its AF_Greasemonkey. The transaction will take place in September. I still have a lot to learn but i'm willing to help any of Yall out with your 7's just for the experience (no beer needed) . Like I said I have waited 5 years for this moment and i'm tired of waiting. I'v passed on many 7's (1st gens mostly) but I heavly believe this will be my time.

BTW, is Higgi the European RX-7 pimp or what??? Use em' pass em'

That's Josh with the orange FC. And you've got a whole slew of cool parts to play with on that car. And if it works out that you don't need those coilovers with the EDFC then I could take that off of your hands so it doesn't clutter up your garage, LOL!!!

The answer to this question is most definatly yes!!!! I've been reading a few things in the stateside 2nd gen forums and there's a lot of guys runnin' Higgitrix parts in the states so that should tell you something. Higgi = Uber RX7 Pimp!!!! In fact, I think my RX7 is the only one in Europe that Higgi hasn't touched or owned, lol! And to be honest, I could be wrong about that!!!!

Well Heres one for Higgi. All I want are some 13B 6 Port European plates from an 86-87 N/A. I need that ramp on the 5th and 6th ports to make my 270HP. I just finished building the stainless steel header and exhaust for my engine and let me tell you... THAT ENGINE JUST WOKE UP!!!!. It is an equal length 60mm primaries, small collector and 60mm straight pipe running to a SAAB straight through muffler and finally out the back through a Bosal FB Muffler.

So Higgi if you have some stock 6 port plates let me know so we can meet. Yes I know I have to do some James Bond stuff to get there but thats OK.

I have ported and lapped set of 6 port plates which i can probably let go, other option is buying some complete running car and take it apart, you could use some parts, i could use some.... Anyways i am flying to Cyprus this weekend, be back at end of the month. Then we can talk about it.

Haha, thanks... Did you hear them though? Man the car sounds soooooo much better. Oh and running 2.5 from turbo back with a strait pipe, no resonator, no cat.... Hmmmmm. Shame i aint keepin the car all it needs now is some injectors and a bigger turbo.
