Upgraded ECU question
Upgraded ECU question
Firstly, I have searched and learnt a lot about the subject. I just am confused about 1 thing and can't find a specific answer to my situation.
I have HKS Intakes, DP, Cat back and manual boost control set to 10-8-10.
I have installed a Mine's VX ROM ecu in the car and it runs well.
My clutch is due for a change and will be taking out the cat and putting in a MP while the job is being done.
I will also be fitting a Walbro fuel pump, Greddy SMIC and WI but not immediately.
Assuming I can control the boost (I know, ported wategate is needed sometimes), is it ok to add the midpipe and keep the car to 10psi until the other parts are fitted? Basically, is 10-8-10 without a MP and with a MP the same? My thinking is that there is more flow through the engine so I will be running leaner even though the boost levels are the same.
The ECU is programmed for what I have fitted, and will be fitting, i.e. full exhaust system, IC, intake and 1bar of boost.
Thanks
