Question about possible ECU upgrade

I am about to replace my shot 12A 1.1 liter engine in my 84 with a reconditioned 12A 1.3 liter and i was wondering if i will need to upgrade my ECU or get a new ECU or if I can use the ECU that is already in the car.

Since there is no such 12A at 1.3 liters, we'll need more information.

... as well as the fact that the 84 12A RX-7 has a carburetor.
