Spec-A Racing Spec computer : Sub-Computer, to adjust optimum fuel setting for the best performance !

How Performance Improved ?


To help set your automobile's ECU to provide the optimum engine management of performance setting.

To digitally fine tune the engine ECU (e.g. tweaking air flow & MAP sensor signal) parameters through the RPM & engine load read outs.

With a PC & provided a ENGLISH software for overseas buyer's understanding , the fuel setting of a highly tuned automobile after bolting on an aftermarket air cleaner & exhaust system can be tweaked to provide optimum performance.

The accompanying sub-computer works with an approximately 70% of Japanese car models.

Better performance results are possible with light tuning with just a change in an aftermarket hi-flow exhaust system & an aftermarket hi-flow air cleaner.

This product not only fine tuned an automobile's factory ECU, but also works on ECUs offered by manufacturer's offical tuning arms (MINES, JUN, BLITZ etc...) or custom-tuned ECUs offered by tuning garages.

Tuning specification

AIR CLEANER , INTAKE PIPE & INTERCOOLER :

It is possible to optimally tune for an air/fuel mixture that is mixed from fuel introduced at the air intake plenum with a cool charge air from the intercooler.

MUFFLER :
It can fine tuned an automobile with an aftermarket hi-flow exhaust system to meet strict local automobile inspection criterias.

AUTOMOBILE TUNED WITH HIGH CAMS :
It can fine tune the vacuum required to provide an automobile with a smooth idling RPM, and on highly modified automobiles where high fuel load is experienced from mid-range to high end RPMs.

UPGRADED TURBINE :
It can improve engine combustion from zero boost to max boost. Especially when an increase in fuel supply is experienced during maximum engine loads.

INJECTORS :
Injector pulse correction menu is used when upgrading injectors on the engine.

AIR FLOW CHANGES :
Air flow correction values can be entered for vehicles with upgrading air flow changes .

RE-SETTING OF OTHER BRAND"S ECU :
Even when an automobile is installed with a piggy back assortment of electronic fuel tuning (such as other brands of custom ECU, fuel & air flow controllers) it possible to control & manipulate the final signals by re-setting the specifications.

*The exhaust temp. meter or the A/F meter (the air/fuel expense meter) best setting can be easily manipulated by the fact that these two devices are used together.

Management System :
Connecting the PC to the RACING SPEC COMPUTER is easily done by installing the wiring system according to the wiring diagram (5 - 10 wires) provided through the respective designated data ports. By using PC, existing data can be easily manipulated.



Fuel Setting Function
Depends on the engine load, and not only RPM, in the limits of 200 points could be controlled by +/- 0 to 15% with the professional shop model, and by +/- 0 to 50% with the user model in every 1%.

Acceleration Revision Function
Fuel manipulation during acceleration & deceleration can be fine tuned in +/- 0 to 15% with the professional shop model, and by +/- 0 to 50% with the user model

Engine Stall Prevention Function
This unit could prevent a turbocharged engine from stalling when upgraded to a ball bearing turbo.

MAP Tracing Function
The map of 200 points can be acessed in real time. With this, settings can be securely made.

Speed Limiter
Cancellation Speed limited function

Boost Limiter
Cancellation function it can also remove the boost limiter controlled by the turbo pressure sensor.

Replay Function
The replay function enables a 60-second playback of modified settings. This ensures a smooth data modification at any instant.

Displaying ThrottleBody Opening Angle
The throttle position modification provide a visual display of throttle opening angle with respect to accelerator position.

Filing Function
All data modified can be easily stored in a file in the pc in a text file format, and archived in the pc's hard drive.

Standard Comparation Function
Comparison of modified data & factory set data can be viewed side by side in the pc via a picture file.

Data comparation Function
This function allows various set data on the pc screen.

Convert to EXCEL Function
This function allows data conversion from the text file to a Microsoft Excel file.

Simple Initial Setting
This function allows set data from the dip switch of an ECU or any other similar piggy backs without any adjustment, and then manipulate the data to the desired new setting.

Optional Parts Use for Management System:
VTEC and TVIS Point Modification Function
This function allows the VTEC & TVIS points & settings to be altered by installing the optional adapter. This allows not only manufacturer's set RPM changes, but also on condition of load.

Shift point indicator function
This function allows the user to set shift control point via optional LED illumination by installing the optional RPM controller sold separately.

Additional fuel pump control facility
This allows the user to add & control an additional fuel pump via an external terminal connector with a general purpose relay. It can control the fuel pump by set RPM or by load conditions.

BENCH TEST : Complete & thorough verification on a racing engine's functional & operation efficiencies can be conducted by attaching an A/F meter to the racing specification computer and by manipulating the data in every 1% in a bench test environment.


CIRCUIT TEST : Various data settings can be saved & recalled in the racing specification computer to cater to the ever changing environmental conditions on a race circuit where air temperature & atmospheric pressure affects an engine optimum performance.

CPU Recommendation for Desktop type : Pentium130MHz or above
Recommendation for Notebook type : Pentium230MHz or above
NOTE: This product used millimeter standard (the M2.6 - 0.45) , inch standard (# 4-40) for the 9pins serial connector's stop screw. Please verify the personal computer which make in the 9 pins serial connector standard.This product used millimeter standard, Please avoid using the personal computer with inch standard .You might damage the product by forcing the screw on incompatible connector.

This product seems promising. Not a full standalone, but is able to modify seemingly all types of ECUs.

Really, it mimicks a lot of the features of the Greddy E-manage, but doesn't have direct injector control, timing control, additional injector control...and it costs more .

It's neat, but the E-manage would probably be a better choice.
