i dont know if this is the right forum, but im looking for a tool to monitor every aspect of my engine... Temp, FP, Oil Presure...ect... so that i can better monitor and watch for bad stuff(also ive heard that you can change your F/A mix to get better gas millage without harming the engine. What might i be looking for?

SAFC dont log **** compared to teh real loggers. Was N/A have to do with nething? You dont drift do you.

well, my purpose was to keep around the stock hp, but monitor every thing diagnose problems and forsee falure. but then I learned that you can tune the thing for better gas miliage too...

SAFC seems to be what I would need, but i still know NOTHING about Engine Managment...

but yes, drifting/auto X learning car.

 

Well I happen to know his plans for the car and the SAFC is the best choice for his application/budget... And please tell me what the **** drifting has to do with this?!

 

If you wore into drifting youd know teh best cars have what I posted. SAFC is ok I guess if your broke like me but it aint **** compared to real data loggers.

Maybbe he shoulda just said he wanted a cheap pos box to tune teh engine a little better than stock and then peeps coulda ansered his question better. OK Mr Hater, maybbe I need to splane some things so you understand. Teh dataloggers have a DISPLAY where you can see readouts and stuff. If you cllick on the links you can see. OK maybbe you understand now.

SAFC dont monitor ne of that. Not wideband air fuel ratio, not boost, not water temp, not oil temp, not air temp, not fuel pressure, not fuel flow, not acceleration, not torque, not wheel speed, not tranny temp, not lsd temp, not tire press, not brake temp, not ride height, not exhaust temp, not... I got tired of listing things it dont show lol. Neway teh real dataloggers THAT ALSO HAVE DISPLAYS show all this stuff if you want and you can program for others. Teh SAFC is suppose to be a FUEL computer not a uber engine monitor, and it dont control fuel as good as haltech or microtech or specially motec.

This is all teh SAFC shows -
Air Flow Capacity (Hotwire and Flap Type only), Engine RPM, Throttle Position, Pressure Sensor voltage, Karmann Frequency, and Air Flow Meter Correction.

I dunno dood. Teh stock car already has gauges for bout everything he asked for xcept fuel press and you can get that for like 50$ at autozone. I figgered he was looking for a datalogger with display.

 

ummm.... didnt mean to start a war here... I know that Drifting has NOTHING to do with a Data Logger and ECMS and stuff... Its just that i wanted to have somthing to help me keep an eye on my car... to hopefuly forsee a potential falure in the engine. That and to learn more about ecms. I guess that gauges would work, but also wanted somthing alittle more acurate... also somthing i could fool around with and learn more about tuning and fuel managment. I guess I should do more research on ECMs, and Fuel Managment and Data Loggers and stuff before i buy one... thanks 13b4me and cardzrule for your input...

 

Yea you gotta do more research. I dont know much about this stuff either but I aint trying to sell you nething unlike some peeps.

Thats one thing you gonna learn dood. Also you need to learn not to listen to doods who are trying to sell you their SAFC and dont know nething about drifting.

well, actualy i had asked him about it... he wasnt trying to sell it to me. 13b4me is a good guy though, helped me out alot... I dont know how much he knows about drifting, but he sure as hell knows how to throw a TII sideways...(i rode with him in his car... then i needed new pants...) but agian, thanks for the info... Wonder where i can learn ECM tuning?
