Sds Efi

Hello I am building a 1st gen with a series 5 turbo engine and I was wondering if anyone has used a SDS EFI stand alone system (Simple Digital System).

Thank You

I run sds. on my home build 12a Bridge Port, with 204 rwhp. don't know if I would use it on a Turbo.

I like mine! No problems for the last 4 years. Pros ( to me ) , very easy to tune. Uses a 1st gen dizzy. Cons, not datalogging. (Useing a video camera as one.)

I run a unlocked dizzy. Set my timeing at 15-22deg of advance at 4000rpms and where ever the timeing is at idle, I live with. Ends up around -5deg. The thing I like about useing the dizzy is I know what my timeing is at all times. I run a crane CDI and 2nd gen leading coil for leading spark. trailing spark is stock, through the cap and rotor. Plugs are 9s. No misfire to 8500rpms at 15-20psi.

lots of water!.

The crane does not control my boost.
The dizzy only advances a total of 20-24deg. (mechanical) Mine does a total of 21degs. So I set my timng at 4000rpms at 17btdc. This puts my timeing at idle at -4degs. Stock turboII idle timing is -5degs, first mark on the pulley.
Last few months I've been running a total of 20deg of advance at 1.3 bar. Like I said, lots of water. I ran so much water my egt was 1250f at 1.3bar and 18btdc timing. Running smaller water nozzles and 20btdc and things are working better for me now.
