Rtek 2.0 timing question for your tuning Guru's

I'm using the Rtek 2.0 with 9.4:1 compression rotors instead of the 8.5:1 rotors the Rtek's timing map was designed for. I'm looking for suggestions on how to modify the base timing map to compensate for the higher compression ratio?

I figure I'm going to need to pull some timing out, my real question is where and how much.

egt, dyno and knock sensor will answer that question.

i'd start with 10* and see how much you can put back later.

From: Rancho Cucamonga Ca,
I know I could just set the timing to something like 10 degrees across the board, but I was hoping to utilize the base map that the Rtek comes with. I used this base map with 8.5:1 compression rotors and it worked great. What I was hoping to hear from one of you was that I should pull X# of degrees off the base map across the board, or near the torque peak or whatever....
For now I've taken the base map and pulled out about 3 degrees across the RPM band in the med-high load range(TPS 70-100%) and about 4-5 degrees around the torque peak. I've left the low load timing untouched.

What do you guys think? Have a retarded the timing enough to compensate for higher compression? Too much too little?

you need to switch to the rpm vs boost timing map mode first and then look up what everybody else with high compressor rotors is running (on other systems like Haltecha and Power FC)
