pettit ecu upgrade

has anyone in here used it? how is it werkin out for them? will i have to upgrade my injectors if i add this to my vehicle? so far i have hks dual intake, hks downpipe, mid pipe, exhaust, and a 2 piece pulley kit, plan on adding the efini y pipe and a stockmount intercooler in the very near future- also right now my motor is getting a stage 3 raceport- are stock injectors sufficient? does it control boost or will i need a seperate boost controller. any info would be greatly appreciated please pm me. also will it make it impossible to smog my car if i have the ecu remapped and smog time comes around i plan on reinstalling the cats and air pump when its time

There are lots of people running remapped ECU's such as the pettit with great success. It is designed to work with all the "bolt on's" and has been proven to work just fine with a mild street port. You would need a boost controller if you didn't have one already, and it will work just fine with the stock smog equipment, in fact removing the airpump will mess with your idle and throttle response.

One downside to these chipped ECU's is that you are stuck with the stock fuel system, so bigger injectors are out of the question. With a "stage 3 raceport" I think you should look into upgrading the injectors and buying a power FC.

You can run a large port and all bolt-on with the Pettit ECU. Pettit will recommend no running more than 13 PSI without race gas. At 15 PSI with a large port and all the bolt-ons with the Pettit ECU, you'll max out about 360rwhp. If that's not enough, you'll need to go with a stand-alone ECU like the PFC.

BTW, there is only ONE map for the Pettit ECU's.
