When I bought the car, there was a Pettit ECU upgrade already installed. So, I went to the Pettit Racing website and found that there are alot of different upgrades they make. How exactly do you tell one from the other? Also it says that the ECU upgrades are matched to different engine mods...but how do I know what it's got on it? I have upgrade some things. The chip can be modified right?

Common sense would be to look for outside or inside markings or mod numbers and then call them.

 

From my experience, Pettit makes 2 chips. One cannot handle anything past 14.7psi and the other you can run unlimited boost.

When I had a Pettit Ecu, I had the 14.7 chip. I could never boost past that. (15psi)

I called Pettit, they sent me the "unlimited" chip. I installed it. I then raised the boost past 15psi and all hell broke loose.
