Maxxecu
Hi, is anyone running Maxxecu in their rx7?
I have a Maxxecu street in my track toy(not rotary powered ) and i'm going to use it in my FC aswell. Used to run an apexi pfc but decided i wanted something more modern + replacing the stock engine harness can't be the worst idea as preventive maintenance.
Not shure if Maxxecu is known in the US, but it's one of the most popular brands i Scandinavia at the moment, and a fairly new brand.

Hey, Sorry, I know I didnt run my MAXXECU on a 13B but I do have it running in my FC. I like the ecu, has a pretty straight forward UI. It does have setup options to run it on a rotarie so i dont see why you wouldnt want to use one. I'd Download there software before buying just to see if you like the UI.

I'm building a Pro-Challenge car, running a dry sump Ford Duratec with ITB's and an Elite Racing sequential gearbox.
Looking into the MAXXECU Street for its integrated WB O2 and ability to handle flat shifts and a throttle blipper for the sequential.
How is their tech support? I've exchanged a couple emails, but didn't get the level of detail I was expecting.
There may be a language barrier issue.
Thanks,
David

MAXXECU is definitely coming up in the world, however be prepared to make some concessions on I/O if you go with their non-pro models. I've been a long time gold box motec user, and recently deployed an M130 in another project, my next one will most likely be a MAXXECU Pro.

would not recomend the street, mainly because it doesn't have BT so you can't use mdash (gauge software for pad). You will have to use a third party software via usb cable.
I would get a sport if i where to buy one now, supports Ethrottle.
From my experience their support is not the best, not just a language barrier, most swedish are fluent in english. I have gotten the feeling i was more a bother than anything else.
im guessing you will get more support from a dealer rather than directly from maxxecu, which kind of sucks.
As for the hardware and software it is really good, but probably not more so than any other comparably prised brands.

One particular thing I like is their software has the ability to set a temporary rev limit for each downshift, so that the throttle blip will match the input shaft speed to suit the output shaft speed and the gear you're selecting.
This should make for very smooth downshifts, as well as minimizing any impact to the shift dogs.
Thanks again, and I'll post back here as I progress with the project.
