Help me decide

Well I've been sitting on the sidelines reading info on alot of EMS's

from the SMC
E6K
Microtech
Wolf
and now AEM

The biggest advantage right now is the Haltech
cause of the widly available MAPS you can download
wide use and great web support

and I'm ready to buy a EMS
I liked the MTX-8 but no one uses it here in the states
and I would probly run into a nightmare trying to set it up.

Wolf 4 and SMC both have great features but support will also be a big problem.

so it's really between the AEM and E6K for me

But damm there such a large yahoo discussion group
that HitMan visits and that is a HUGE selling point to me

However the AEM is a more advanced system then the E6K

don't know what to do
wait till AEM get's going or just go for the E6K

I would like to spend my $ wisely

Kabooski,
Microtech currently is planning to release their new LT series ecu into the USA, we are currently planning seminars for tuners on the east coast and will try to get distributors that have been trained in tuning and installation into every state. Once we have that we can then offer you the support you require and we will be visiting this sight as much as possible to try and offer support as well.
I dont know if this is any help to your situation but we must start somewhere with our entry into the US. Most tuners I have shown from the US have been very interested in becoming distributors.

Kabooski, you may not value my opinion compared to other notable people on here....

But in the US at the moment I think it would be hard to go past the Haltech system, with time Microtech may get their base going in America ?

But will it compare in features? I dunno (without offending anyone) You are best off talking to someone like Matt who works with ALL systems to get a fair idea of what will suit YOU.

If you are looking for runs on the board then wothout looking at countries in particular (to negate local trends) then I think you will find in the world of drag racing, they are pretty similar in results.

Hey, you could be like me and use a system that no one uses ! (I know someone does use Autronic?) If you have a big enough will and the relative testing/Insilation equipment to get you going? For support at the moment it is hard to go past Haltech in your country.

Yea I'm going with Haltech
since there are several shops around here
that know how to install and Tune it

Since this will be for my street car
But I may get a Micro system
in the future
for a race car I might get
