There's a HUGE support base for the Haltech, which makes debugging and tuning a lot easier. I know the old Wolf 3 had a number of features that it was lacking, but it was still a strong system. The Wolf 4 is supposed to address a lot of that.

what i am curious about is right when i get my car running and fire it up for the first time i am no where near a dyno.. what settings would i use? is there certain maps i can program in so i can drive for a bit at least to a dyno? and is it easyly programable enough that i can use this myself, or do u need a pro...

I can't speak for the Haltech, but I have the wolf3d.

Yes, there are basemaps available that will let you start the car and drive it to the dyno. You just load them in. You can find ones that are similar to your setup on the forum ...

Tuning either system from scratch is best left to a pro and dyno. You need a good map for your individual car.

After that you can do your own tweaking, especially if you have a wideband and an EGT gauge. The Wolf is simple to use in that respect, and im sure the Haltech is as well.
