Do I need to switch ECU's?
I have read/searched/& read that M2 stage III ECU's are not programmed for ALL of my mods.
I am referring to the n-tech Hi-flow cat added on top of the intake, cat-back, SMIC & DP.
M2 ECU's are said to be mapped conservativley(rich) - So do you guys think I will be safe running the Hi-flow cat, too?
If not, what inexpensive ECU can I buy that will safely manage my engine? A grand for a PFC is more than I want to spend.
One more Q: Is an M2 Stage III the same as an M2 Unlimited?
Thank you in advance,
John

Add the cat and perform a wideband test and find out for sure if there is enough fuel. All ECU programs are just approximations anyway until individual car testing and tuning is performed.

Now I just have to read up on what a wide band test is and how to do it.

See I've heard than M2 Stage 3 ecu's are mapped to handle intake, downpipe, intercooler, cat-back and 13 psi. I heard that M2 doesn't suggest using a mid-mipe with it but it's mapped so rich that you'd be fine. Personally I am running all the mods plus a mid-pipe at 14 psi and I seem to be fine.
