Best EMS for a 1990 NA?
I'm looking for a good flexible EMS that I can start out with the basic EFI and ignition functions and someday add on turbo or nitrous controls when I have that kind of money. Can someone suggest which brand/type would be the best choice for the money? I'm really good with computers and electrical work so I can set up almost anything, the main thing for me is user control/flexibility, I'm sort of a control freak and I'd want to be able to control all important functions and not leave anything preset and unadjustable (though some won't need much adjusting anyway). Cost is somewhat a factor, I only have about $800 left in my budget right now and I don't know what to expect price wise for a good EMS so maybe that won't even be enough?
BTW I'll be installing it on a 1990 13B 6 port NA if that matters.
All help will be much appreciated

Bad news: $800 CAD is not quite enough for an EMS. If you can scrape together just a little more money you could get a Microtech LT8, but it is just about the most inflexible EMS on the planet, so that's probably not a good idea for your particular case. The next cheapest EMS is the Haltech E6X, which sells for about $1,600 CAD, but is very flexible. After that, pricing of more advanced units goes up, with the Motec M880 at the top of the list selling for over $14,000 CAD with all the options. Unfortunately, flexibility is directly related to price.
Good news: The MegaSquirt fuel injection controller is a good entry-level computer for those who can build such things on their own.
